The following is a guide to preparing art files for Beau Label. At Beau Label,
all graphics are produced on Macintosh® computers using the following
applications:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Esko ArtPro
- QuarkXpress
Please do not hesitate to contact us to resolve any questions
concerning art requirements prior to creating your
files.
Fonts and Support Files
It is important
that your file media includes all fonts, tiff, eps, and other support files that
are part of your artwork.
Scanned Images
Scanned images
may be provided as eps, tiff, or psd. Include all original images and logos
with your files. Please be prepared to provide proof that you have been
granted license to use copyrighted, trademarked or proprietary images.
Do not provide separated images, screen angles or transfer functions. If you
provide a color image, be sure that it is CMYK. Do not
provide color images in RGB.
Image
Resolution
Photos (both black & white and color) should be set
at 300 dpi or better and line art should be set at 1200 dpi or better at final
size.
Hard Copy
Always include two copies of your artwork
along with your file. The first should be a clean black & white laser copy
and the second should be a black and white or color copy with all fonts and
colors marked in their appropriate locations. If using spot colors, please
provide the Pantone® (PMS) numbers. A pdf file with colors, dieline and
callouts clearly marked is also acceptable.
File Media
We
accept the following media types in Macintosh® format:
- email for files up to 10mb.
- ftp site for files greater than 10mb. Please call or email us for
instructions.
- CD-ROM
- DVD
File Compression
If file compression is necessary, the
following formats should be used:

- .SEA (self extracting)

PC Files
Please use the following guidelines to ensure a
minimum of problems when providing PC files.
- We prefer Adobe Illustrator. Save file as an eps and include all fonts.
- Please save all graphics in Macintosh format.
